Lobster Bandits Make Off With $1 Million Dollars Worth of Lobster Tails

South Florida’s largest lobster distributor took quite a loss today when realizing that 71,000 pounds of individually wrapped lobster tails came up missing. Authorities caught two women on camera at a local seafood restaurant trying to sell the stolen tails. After realizing the lobster had been stolen, the owner of the restuarant told the two women to leave. Apparently the victim, Carlos Seafood, distributes over 3 million pounds of lobster every year.

My question is, what were these women planning on doing with 71,000 pounds of individually wrapped lobster tails? Where do you hide something like that?

Most Amazing Sound Quality on Earth- Plasma Arc Speakers

April 30th, 2009 1 Comment   Posted in Electronics

You probably thought your Boss acoustical setup sounded good, but have you ever heard the same music reverberated from a stream of pure plasma energy? Although not widely known, these speakers have actually been around for awhile. A model of plasma speakers was commercially produced and sold by a company called Magnat in the 1970’s- but they are hard to find today.

The color of the plasma arc actually changes with the intensity of the music. You aren’t going to find one of these babies at Wal-Mart anytime soon- you will probably have to make your own.

Here is another video of a (lower sound quality, but much larger model) plasma creation at work playing the theme to the 1986 classic NES game, the Legend of Zelda.
